Dr. Wimes founded Unified Counseling & Mediation with a vision to provide holistic, compassionate mental health care that honors every client's story. With extensive clinical experience, she specializes in trauma recovery and life transitions.
Dr. Cassaundra Wimes is a Licensed Psychologist, Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator, and Qualified Supervisor. Dr. Wimes earned a PhD from Florida State University's APA Accredited Combined Counseling Psychology and School Psychology program. In addition, Dr. Wimes earned a B.A. in Psychology and M.S. Ed in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy from the "U" — University of Miami.
Over the past 25 years, Dr. Wimes has thrived in mental health care and human service professions. Dr. Wimes has also worked extensively with children, adolescents, adults, families, marital couples and groups.

Ja-Sun brings dedication and compassion to his work, supporting clients through a range of emotional and psychological challenges. He is committed to creating a warm, safe, and nonjudgmental space where clients can feel comfortable being vulnerable and work toward meaningful growth.

Samoya Gordon, RMHCI, is a Florida Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern. She earned her Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Miami, and her Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Psychology from Barry University.
Samoya is committed to guiding individuals through life's challenges by offering a warm, safe, and nonjudgmental space where they can feel comfortable being vulnerable. She is passionate about helping people navigate the complexities of trauma and reframe their stories through a more positive lens. Samoya has experience supporting individuals from diverse communities across various age groups and backgrounds. She is enthusiastic about making a meaningful impact in the lives of others and improving community mental health one mind at a time.

Dr. Renae L. Patterson is a registered nurse, project management professional, board certified patient advocate, FL real estate broker, and entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience. A Miami, FL native and proud "Double Cane," Dr. Patterson earned both her PhD in Nursing and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Miami, along with an MBA from Nova Southeastern University. She is the Founder and CEO of UNIFIED H.I.N.T.S. Corporation and Patterson Real Estate Group, LLC, and serves as Managing Partner of Unified Counseling and Mediation, PLLC.
Dr. Patterson works at the intersection of health equity and home equity, guided by the belief that advocacy, access, stability, and longevity are deeply interconnected. Her work reflects a commitment to helping people live longer, healthier lives by strengthening the foundations that support them. As an equity advocate, she leverages lived experiences and professional expertise to equip individuals and communities with the knowledge, tools, and resources to enhance their overall quality of life.
